Over My Dead Body!
Made during Jam Fest, a 24 hour game jam and charity livestream event hosted by GMU's GADIG Club. The theme for the game jam was "Task Failed Successfully".
In this game, dying in a platformer is how to win, not the other way around!

Contributions
Gameplay Design
-
Mechanics utilize player failure by leaving a dead body that can be used as a platform
Level Design
-
Created 3 short and sweet levels, each with their own unique way to die
Assets
-
Made a tile set, hazards, title screen, and background using Adobe Photoshop
Designed 3 Levels / Puzzles
To help ease the repetitive nature of dying consistently, each level is short and comes with a different gimmick. However, there's a limited number of bodies that can be present at a time creating puzzle elements. The goal is to reach the coffin.

Players have a limited number of bodies that can be present at a time meaning they've to plan their own death. It is nearly impossible to win without dying once in each level.
The 1st level focuses on demonstrating the main mechanic. The 2nd and 3rd levels both test reaction time, but require different methods to stacking bodies to win.
Created Tilesets and Environmental Assets
To make it easier to build levels, I made a tile set using Adobe Photoshop before implementing it into Unity as a rule tile set. I also made the background and other environmental pieces. Everything has been enlarged for clarity.
